Sew masks for local healthcare providers
A message from Atrium Healthcare Workforce:
Many have inquired about how to support the Atrium Healthcare Workforce through making masks.
Thank you so much for your willingness to sew fabric masks for our Atrium Health teammates, patients and community members.
In agreement with CDC guidelines, fabric masks are an appropriate option when other supplies have been exhausted. Atrium Health still has our regular mask options, but we would like to be prudently prepared for any scenario we may face during these unprecedented times.
Please review the attached materials and instructions. We ask you to follow these instructions as closely as possible to ensure the integrity and strength required for recipients to use these indefinitely.
We began accepting donated masks on Monday, March 30.
Please make sure that masks are placed in a bag, preferably plastic bags (such as trash bags). These bags should be tied or closed. They will not be able to accept loose masks placed into the collection bins.
Collected masks will immediately be sent to be cleaned and processed to be prepared for use. Any surplus masks will be distributed to other organizations in need. Healthcare workers are so grateful for to you for sharing your talents with us and the many patients and families we are privileged to serve in our communities.
