Meet Mrs. Waynett
Director of the Lockhart Child Development Center
Mrs. Taylor comes to this position with a wealth of knowledge, a passion for serving children and the awareness that a loving and well-educated teaching staff are all important components of a great child development center. She is a life-long learner, an early education teacher and administrator. She comes to All Saints’ Episcopal Church from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College where she was serving as the adjunct professor in the School of Education.
Mrs. Taylor graduated Summa Cum Laude and holds two master’s degrees: Master’s in Education in Special Education from Grand Canyon and Master’s in Education in Birth to Third Grade from Capella University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Winston-Salem State University and Associate of Arts from Davidson Community College. She brings experience as the former Director of the Davidson Community College Child Development Center as well as the Director at First Baptist Child Care Center in Lexington, NC.
Currently, Mrs. Taylor serves as the Chair of the Board for the Cabarrus Partnership for Children and is a member of the Cabarrus County Taskforce for the Young Child. In 2015 she was honored as Teacher of the Year.
Waynett’s first day at All Saints’ will be June 1, 2021.
