Energy Saving Trees 2023
Year Five of Energy Saving Trees starts in the Season of Creation
Starting Monday, September 11, homeowners and power customers in the City of Concord will have the opportunity to order one free tree from the Arbor Day Foundation. The trees are ready to plant and range from 3-6 feet tall. You may choose from these trees: red maple, Shumard oak, bald cypress, sourwood, and yellow/tulip poplar. Note: the supply of trees are typically all reserved in 2-3 weeks, so don’t delay.
With the addition of Carolina Power Partners as a co-sponsor, we will be giving away 300 trees from All Saints’ on Saturday, October 21. We are looking for volunteers to help load the trees into cars and to direct traffic on that day. Please contact Mark Robinson to volunteer.
One of the best ways we can care for Creation is by planting a tree, and Fall is the best time to plant trees in North Carolina. For more information on the benefits of trees and how to order your tree click here:
