What’s Next for All Saints’?
As we enter a season of transition at All Saints’, there is much to look forward to. In the Episcopal Church, transitions are more than just a change in leadership – they are moments of discernment, growth, and grace. And we, as a parish, have the exciting opportunity to shape the next chapter in our story.
We are blessed to be working closely with The Rev. Marion Sprott, Transition Ministry Officer for our diocese, who will guide us every step of the way. Recently, the vestry met with Rev. Marion and Bishop Sam Rodman to learn more about the transition process. After thoughtful discussion and prayerful discernment, the vestry has agreed on the path forward.
Calling an Interim Rector
The vestry has decided to call an interim rector to serve for 12 to 18 months. This will allow us to thoughtfully prepare for a permanent rector while continuing to receive strong pastoral leadership and care.
This period is not a pause in our ministry – it’s an intentional time to reflect, grow, and prepare. The work of the church continues, powered by the same faith and commitment that have always defined All Saints’.
We have already begun working to ensure clergy coverage during any gap between Nancy’s departure and the arrival of our interim rector. We will also have time to celebrate Nancy’s ministry and say our goodbyes with love and gratitude.
Our Church is Strong – Because of You
The mission and ministry of All Saints’ do not rest on one individual. We are the Body of Christ, and our strength lies in our shared faith, our mutual care, and our unwavering commitment to love and serve in Christ’s name.
This is a time of hope, energy, and faithful anticipation. Let’s move forward together, trusting that God is at work – within us, among us, and ahead of us.
If you have questions about the transition process, we encourage you to reach out to any member of the vestry.
Thank you for your prayers, your participation, and your deep love for All Saints’.
